The Pumpkin Patch

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin, and to do something different then going to the park. The best part was that none of them wanted the biggest pumpkin, they all wanted the smallest, which only set us back $1. Cheap fun for the kids, I am all for it!

They all wanted to sit in the wagon, I took about 6 pictures of them in the wagon, but not one of the pictures have them looking at the camera, all I can say is, they're 3.
Nixon and Blake acting silly, they really are funny.
Nixon and his goofy face.

This is the reason I hate petting zoos. The kids were feeding the animals leaves and hay. These goats tried to get out of their cage. Notice the chicken wire fence, not to sturdy. They want what ever Breyson has in his hands. Those are goats, I think?

Quirks

I was tagged the other day to list 6 of my quirks, I am a little late but here they go:

1. Every night before I go to bed I think and pray that my kids will not throw up in the middle of the night. (I know I am a little crazy.)
2. Every night before I go to bed, I check the locks about 3 times and I check the stove to make sure it is off, even if I didn't cook that night. (Border line O.C.D.)
3. I iron my kids clothes every day, even their jeans.
4. I hate letting my kids pick out their own clothes. I know it is only the beginning of not being able to control them and I hate it!
5. Brad and I fight every night about our sheets on the bed. I like to have them all the way up to my neck and neatly folded at the top. When Brad gets into bed he turns his sheets down and lays on top of the blankets which then pulls my nicely placed blankets down. I can't stand it! :)
6. I start in August making lists of what to buy people for Christmas. I then hide the list so no one will find them. By the time Christmas comes I've made about 20 different lists. The other day I found one of my list buried in my drawer from 2 Christmases ago.

Happy Birthday Charlie!

The Birthday Boy, Charlie

This is what was in the kids party favor bags, you would have thought it was Christmas or their birthdays. When my kids opened their bags they were so excited, here is my happy Nixon.

Cool Cupcakes!

Pin the trunk on the Elephant.
Bean bag toss and a bunch of rug rats.

My nephew Charlie had his 1st birthday yesterday and his mom Celynn went all out! We got to my in laws house and it was decorated so cute. They had pin the trunk on an elephant and pin the tail on the monkey and they made a really cute bean bag toss. They also decorated the coolest cupcakes, I am always amazed at how creative some people are.  Happy Birthday Charlie!

Crafts

I am now the 2nd counselor in our Relief Society, so what that means is I am over our Enrichment program! I don't have a crafty bone in my body. I like to buy my crafts at Target, pre made! Well last night we had our "Super Thursday", where we had a bunch of crafts, that the ladies could make. I must say I am glad that I have some friends that are great at making things. Thanks, to Linda, Jaime, Haley, Sara, Alaina, and Dana. All very crafty ladies that helped me by putting things together so the ladies had something to make. Sorry Sara about the ladies that didn't show up, you're treats were soooooo good!

These were some of the bows my mom, Becky, Haley and I made, Carsyn's hair will be so cute!!
This is the bow Haley made for me, it is awesome!
These are the cute cards that Alaina helped me to make. I love them.
These are crafts I actually made at my friend Jaime's house, she and my other friend Linda own a machine that make vinyl stickers that make everything look cute! It was fun hanging out with some friends and making something I could decorate my house with. I am lacking in the Fall Decoration department.

The Men's Conference

Greg, Andrew, Brad, and Caden's hand trying to block my picture. What a little punk. :)
Nixon doing his silly face, who taught him that?

Twice a year Brad's dad calls all his boys up and says it's that time again, and they all head out to the priesthood session of conference. Of course, they are a little hesitant since it is on a Saturday night and they have things they would like to be doing, but they always end up going. Brad enjoys any time he gets to spend with his family. After conference they usually go out to dinner, this time the guys invited the girls. Our family took up one whole side of La Tapatia. Fun Times.

T.V. and a Hair Cut

T.V.
How sad is it that to get my kids to stop fighting and bugging each other I had to turn the t.v. on. Wow, it is like night and day in my house right now! My kids have been constantly fighting since we got home from Caden's soccer game ( he scored 3 goals!!!). All I did was turn the t.v on and now it is so quiet and no fighting! I think Heavenly Father had a hand in the invention of the television!!

Hair Cut
Carsyn has been begging me all week to let her cut her hair. Brad is against Carsyn or me having too short of hair, so I have been hesitant on getting her hair cut. She wanted it so bad, so today I took her to a salon and she finally got a real hair cut (I usually just trim the ends). It doesn't look much different, but she is happy with it and that's what counts!

Our Little Helper

Nixon has been a big helper lately, since he is home alone with us most of the day. Now if I can just get him to pick up his own toys I would have it made!

The Crazy Adventures of a PG&E Worker

Okay, I have a funny but sad story. Brad called me from work tonight saying he just had an interesting thing happen, he said he was in a bad area of town and he was going on the on ramp to the freeway when he spotted a girl walking as if she was going to walk up onto the freeway, well, she was buck naked! Brad said he stopped but didn't want to get out, so he called 911, the 911 operator was hesitant on believing that this call was legit but then after some persuasion she said keep an eye on her, don't get out of your car but put your head lights on her so people will see her and not hit her. Brad said okay but he said he put his spot light on the ground near her not right on her! She started to walk toward the freeway so Brad yelled out the window, No stop! The girl turned and yelled go away! Then the girl sat down in the dirt and started rolling around in the dirt! A guy in a lexus drove by and stopped, got out of his car and walked toward the girl, he then threw a t-shirt at her and drove away! By this time another lady drove up next to Brad and said did you call the police Brad said yes, but it has been 10 minutes so far. So the lady called 911 too. Then she left, leaving Brad to deal with the naked lady. Finally (after 30 minutes!!!) the police showed up and took a statement from Brad and then let him go off to finish his work. When Brad called his work to tell them why he wasn't finishing his work they just laughed at him! I hope the girl is fine, and maybe she was drunk. I hope she wasn't out there because something bad happened to her! My sister Becky says Brad should write a book about all the crazy things he has come across while working. He has had so many crazy things happen, that it would take me a couple of days to write all about them. There is never a dull moment with Brad!

The Fair

We went to the Fair with Brad's whole family on Saturday. We got there and the parking lot was full, so we had to park in a nice neighborhood down the street. We had fun, even though it was so busy. We stayed clear of the ride area, I was afraid I'd loose one of my kids if we walked though that crazy section of the fair! Nixon kept asking when we were going to ride the rides and I kept saying we aren't because we are going to go on better rides at Magic Mountain, or Disneyland next month. He didn't understand why of course, but oh well. The kids ate corn dogs, funnel cake, cotton candy, cracker jacks, caramel apples  and drank some soda. (Healthy food!) We also looked at all the animals, most of the kids liked this, not Caden, he kept saying, "when are we going to eat", and he was tip toeing around so he wouldn't step in any droppings from the animals. My kids all have inherited my liking of animals!

This is a sign near the neighborhood that we parked in!

Nixon milking a cow

It was so funny to watch Gavin and Caden on the mini tractors, they made me laugh!
The kids playing in the hepatitis infested corn!
Hanging out and letting the kids play. (we had to let them play with all the free kid things, so we didn't have to waste our money on those sick rides.)
The big Race boys!
The girls looking cute!
Eating the greasy food!
Avery making Charlie smile!
Kenneth's first fair experience!

Our Little Visitor

We had a visitor on Saturday. My cousin Amy called and asked me to watch her son Ty, while she and her husband went to the temple. That little guy was so good! He cried for a second when his mom left, but then he was fine the rest of the day. My kids loved having him at our house, Carsyn fed him his food and Nixon played with him. They were great babysitters!

My Hubby the One Upper

Last night Caden asked me to make some cookies. I really didn't feel like it, so I ask Brad to make some for him. He said that if I borrowed my mom's mixer he would make them. So of course I borrowed it, so I didn't have to make the cookies. Well Brad made the cookies and wow, I don't know if it was the mixer or Brad but those cookies are gooooood! Whenever Brad makes anything it tastes ten times better than when I make it, what is up with that?

Caden's a Busy Boy

Caden started scouts this year and is enjoying it, He started soccer and next week he starts flag football. He loves to keep busy, which means I am in the car a lot. I guess that's what a soccer mom does! He seems to be getting old quickly. You know your kid is getting older when, they want a normal tooth brush and not one with characters on it. And you really know your kid is getting old, when they don't want a Happy Meal anymore they want the large fries and the million piece chicken nuggets!

Fantasy Football

I don't know if anyone else has a husband that is into fantasy football, but my husband and son are both die hard fantasy football players. What that means is that on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays the computer and the t.v. are dominated by the boys. I have been dreading this football season, not just because it's on non stop, but it also means we will be late to church, eating dinner with the t.v. on, and having to deal with depressed boys that yell at the t.v. You would think that they actually were playing real football the way they get into it. Oh well as long as they're having fun, I'll put up with it!
