Kids Camp 2008

Thursday I took my kids and my sister's son to The Breeze kids camp at The Party Corral. It was nice that everything was free, but I can't stand petting zoos! They stink and it is always hot outside when I've been to a petting zoo.  The kids enjoyed feeding the animals, they liked the bounce house and they some what enjoyed the train pulled by a ride on lawn mower. Here are some pictures to show how enthused my kids were about The Party Corral.

Boring summer!

I can't believe how slow this summer is going by. My kids are bored and so am I. We did our big vacations right at the beginning of summer now we are sticking out the rest of summer in town. We have been swimming every day and have gone to the movies a few times. I am ready for school to begin and for soccer and dance to start up again!

4th of July

We went to the lake in the morning, with my family, and had a ton of fun. The kids love any time they can spend with their cousins. After the lake we had Brad's family over for swimming and for fireworks. It was a long and eventful day!

The little big guy!

Caden had his cousin Gavin spend the night tonight. I had them playing video games up stairs and I put Nixon to bed. Well about 30 minutes later Caden comes down stairs and said "Nixon is asleep in the chair I want to sit in" So I went up stairs and found this. I guess he thought he would sneak out and hang with the big boys.

Brad's Softball Games

Brad started playing softball on a league with some guys from work. I actually like to go watch him play, the problem is, he plays at some scary parks. Like Wayside park and Martin Luther King park! We went to watch him last week and it was light outside. The first thing Carsyn asked was mom, why do they write on their trash cans here? I am just glad she can't read everything yet! Then as we were sitting there a girl being walked by her pitbull, walked by, and all of the sudden the pitbull broke its leash! I was so glad another lady had her little dogs there and the pitbull went to attack them and not me and my kids! Then of course Carsyn needed to use the restroom, and I had to take her and all my kids, plus my niece and nephew. When we walked up to the bathroom there were 2 shopping carts full of treasures and the nice people who have taken over the Vons shopping carts were close by and the kids thought I was wierd when I kept saying hurry up were going to miss the game. We actually came out of the bathroom alive so that was a plus! Well tonight Brad is playing again at MLK park and we decided not to go watch him, since they say that if the ball gets hit over the fence in the dark do not try to go get it, just take it as a loss, because they don't know what kind of characters are lurking around at night! Scary!!!!

Hitman

When we were at the beach I heard a man on his phone talking to someone and he said " Okay well send me the script". So of course I thought he must be a movie star. I took a good look at him and I knew I'd seen him on something before.  No one in the camp could remember what he'd been in so my brother's girlfriend's brother, Modesto, went up to him and said are you an actor and what movie have you been in, he said" yes I am an actor and I recently was in Hitman and in Die Hard." When Modesto told me this, I automatically remembered him in both those movies, wow my Movie Star Radar must have been on!  The guy's name is Timothy Olyphant.

Practically every time we go to Leo Carillo there is some famous person there or near by at the grocery store.

My Famous People Obsession

I have always been a fan of People Magazine and any magazine that has gossip about famous people. And anytime I have a chance to be in an audience on a tv show I jump at the chance. If it were possible to come back to life as another person I for sure would choose to be a Movie Star. What would it be like to have millions of dollars, not have a shy bone in your body, a huge mansion, and people who admire you all around the world! That would be cool.

So of course when I spot a famous person I get pretty excited! I would never let them know that I am excited to see them but inside, I am always excited! Here are some of the famous people I've seen.

Leo Carillo

We had such a fun time at Leo Carillo. We went from Sunday to Friday. We just got back, and boy am I excited to take a shower in a clean shower! The weather was so perfect, it was warm during the day and cool at night. When we were driving back today, our car said that it was 98 degrees here! Too Hot! I want to go back! Well, here are some pictures of our trip, the kids had a blast!

Carsyn had her first dance recital and she did an awesome job. Her hip hop class did the Humpty Dumpty dance. I thought she wouldn't end up doing it. She didn't even think twice about it, she went up there and did her thing. She said " I didn't even look at my coach I just looked at the other girls." Afterwards we went to dewars, all of our kids think they have to go there after they have a special event.
It makes me sad that she is getting older. I hope she still likes me when she's a teenager!!

Happy Birthday Andrew and Penny

We had a fun time breaking in our new home for Andrew and Penny whose birthdays were both on June 8. Happy Birthday Andrew and Penny!

Computers and T.V.

I have been having withdraws. We are in our new home, and I haven't had a computer or cable for a week and a half! I had to go over to my sisters or my parents house to use the computer. I am so excited to have my computer up and running and to have t.v. The funny thing is, my kids are now not interested in the t.v. they've made up games that they play all day, like who can jump up the most stairs or who can build the best tower with Jenga blocks. I told Brad that we don't even need cable anymore except that he and I enjoy our different shows. Our kids could care less.  The thing that stinks is that The Office and Grey's Anatomy are over now! Now, I will have withdraws from that!
