Brad wanted to set up a 5k/10k just for fun and to get some friends and family together. It turned out to be a really fun day. We had a pretty good turn out. I was hoping to be able to run the whole thing but it was kind of hard with all the kids. The kids had a lot of fun though and so it was worth it.
Here is Brad's sister Alyson and her son Bobby with Nixon, They came over from Ridgecrest just for the event.

After the run we came back to the park near our house and hung out, ate lunch, kids played and even got into the swimming pool, although the water was freezing!!!!

We purchased another boat last night so everyone wanted to check it out. We ended up taking it out to the lake to test it out. We drove out to lake ming and found that the boat launch was closed so we had to drive all the way out to BV which is like sewer water usually but it actually wasn't too bad today.
It ran great we are so excited to take it out again this week!

I love boats! We have a boat too. We have a Malibu. We spend almost every weekend in the summer on the delta. Boats are so much fun! =) What else is there to do in the summer in the valley when it is triple digits outside!

We really enjoyed the race. Eventhough I was in last place (Kenny didn't run as fast as you. lol) It was a lot of fun to hang out with the family and do something healthy. Hopefully I'll end up in a better place in september.
HI Lisa....funny you commented about Cams 2nd birthday...cause I was just looking at those pics..and I have the cutest pic of you, Caden and Brad....its soooo cute...We just love you guys and yes time has sure flown...I can hardly believe it!! Birthdays are fun but glad its over! I love your blog and seeing all your pics..Your family is absolutely darling...grown all up...You guys are busy and looks like always having fun!

It looks like you had a blast. I wish I could have been there it would have been alot of fun. Congrats on the new boat! We will have to have a girls night with the husbands and go to the lake.
