Gyms

When I first got married I worked out twice a day once at the gym and then I'd go running down to the beach everyday. What the life, then we moved away from the beach and had our first kid. I then would work out 4 times a week. Which is what I've been doing since my first kid. I stopped our gym membership and work out at home, mostly running, since I enjoy it. I bought a treadmill and then I even won a treadmill and a home gym on the radio so I didn't really need a gym membership. Even though I work out faithfully it doesn't seem to matter how much I work out, there has been no loosing or gaining weight going on here in the last 4 years! What is the deal? I need to go back to working out everyday 2 times a day but with 3 kids, a house to keep and a husband there is no possible way! So I heard a thing on the radio about this gym offering no fees to sign up, free tanning, free kids care, 2 free sessions with a personal trainer, it is right down the street from my house and all for a low monthly payment. This morning I made an appointment and went to check it out. It is nice and they do offer a lot of cool things but my question is, why did I come out of there with $132.00 less in my bank account? Didn't they say it was all pretty much free? I am a sucker!

I signed up too. Are you going to Body Exchange? I worked out today and I feel like a new woman!

I heard the same commercial. It does sound completely free. What's the catch then?

Abby, yes it is Body Exchange, I am excited to work out again tomorrow and also get a little tanner before summer!
Christa, You have to pay first and last months dues and then you have to pay more if you don't want a contract. Plus the one by my house is more because it has a women only room so you don't have to deal with the "Gym" Rats that are there to pick up on all the girls.

I need to do something like that too!! I'm a little nervous about the child care though. I was a member of in-shape and Sydney got bit pretty badly on the cheek from another kid. I never took them back. I've heard that Body Exchange is a good place. That's cool about the women's only section too!!

That was the life in Santa Cruz! I still like thinking about when I went running there (when I stayed with you that one time). It was so beautiful!

I'm thinking our vacation package deal that we just purchased may be some what of the same kind of "deal" !?!?

My kids have always been difficult to leave at the gym. I like the early morning classes! Let me know how it goes! Fun Fun Fun!

I wish I went to the gym that had the women part. I hate using the weight machines and having men looking and I know their laughing because I am doing it wrong. Let me know if they have any good classes. over there.
